MEDICAL TRAINING

Training abroad is an excellent opportunity to get acquainted with new achievements in science, improve your skills and establish relationships with colleagues from foreign countries.

Doctors over Borders has become the first organisation to give you an opportunity of training in Austria.
Thanks to our close collaboration with leading specialists in Austrian hospitals you will be able to gather significant practical experiences in any area of medicine.

We consider a training at the Vienna General Hospital (AKH) to be especially attractive. Along with Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital in South Africa the AKH is the largest hospital in the world. It covers the area of 250,000 m², includes 26 university clinics, 42 clinical departments, 51 operation theatres.
It employs approximately 9,000 people, of these about 1,500 physicians and surgeons.
The AKH being a teaching hospital, you will have an opportunity to get acquainted with up-to-date technology, advanced methods of treatment and examination and the work of highly qualified professors. Apart from practical experience at the hospital, you will be able to participate in lectures, seminars, courses and to use the university library.
